The Elsevier Canada Book Award for Entering the Profession of Nursing

Established in 2002 as the Mosby-Saunders Canada Book Award, the re-named Elsevier Canada Book Award for Entering the Profession of Nursing will be awarded annually to the first year student nurse who submits the best essay (500 words) prepared around the following topic: "Why I chose to study the profession of nursing"

 

The award will be $500 (based on publisher's suggested list price) in books published by Elsevier, including the imprints Mosby and Saunders, to be chosen by the winner from our catalogue of Nursing titles.

 

Eligibility: Entrants must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate nursing program at a Canadian university or college and be in their FIRST year of the program.

 

Selection Process: Essays should be submitted by November 10 to the Canadian Student Nurses Association by email: vp@cnsa.ca

 

The executive of the Canadian Nursing Students' Association will choose five finalists and forward those essays to Elsevier Canada for final selection of the winner.
