The Education and Research Award
The CNSA/AEIC is committed to the development of
undergraduate education and research, as well as, the development of
partnerships among nurse researchers, nursing students, educators, practicing
nurses, and clinical agencies. For this reason the CNSA/AEIC is proud to
establish the Education/Research Award. This recognizes a nursing students
contribution towards education and research within their profession, during
this academic career.
Terms of the Award
- The award is available to nursing students enrolled in a
nursing school which is a current member of the Canadian Nursing Students'
Association.
- The applicant must be in good academic standing in their
nursing program
- The applicants must have their research or educational project
completed by the end of the application year to be eligible for the award.
Those students who will be completing their work after this date must apply
for the following year. Applicants who will be graduating, but will be
finishing their work after the deadline will be eligible
to apply for the award during this year.
- The applicant must provide a report/article about the research
or educational activity to CNSA in a form suitable for publication in the
Connection or other such publication.
- Members of the CNSA BOD may not apply for this award during
their term of office.

Application Form:
A completed application shall be considered to
contain:
1. Name of person applying
2. Current Address, and telephone number of applicant
3. Permanent Address and telephone number of applicant (if
different from current)
4. Which member school they attend.
5. The answers to the following questions, total answers not to
exceed 500 words:
a. Describe the research project or activity that you are involved in
(purpose, objectives)?
b. What are the expected findings of the research project?
c. What part of the research project were you involved with?
d. Did you do the project as a volunteer, a course or a part time job?
6. The applicant must provide one letters of reference including
verification of academic standing and involvement in the research project.
7. The applicant must submit an official transcript of his or her
marks to date with the application.
8. The following statement signed and dated "I [name] agree
to the terms of the Education and Research Award, and understand that I am
obligated to provide a report/article to CNSA in a form suitable for
publication in the Connection or other such publication upon upon completion
of the research or education project. I further believe all statements in my
application to be truthful."

Completed applications
and supporting documents for this award must be received by 10th of the
November preceding the National Conference by the current VP/ERD. No
applications received after this date, or incomplete applications will be
considered.
