Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (LWW) Nursing Poster Presentation Award

For more than 200 years, the greatest minds in health care, science, and education have turned to Lippincott to disseminate their groundbreaking ideas and observations. Today, Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (LWW) is part of Wolters Kluwer, a publishing powerhouse with global reach and capabilities.

The LWW Award will be awarded annually to a nursing student who submits a poster for presentation at the CNSA National Conference. Valued at $500 plus $500 in LWW products, the scholarship will be awarded to the winning poster chosen by the Awards Committee at the National Conference. The winning poster will also be considered for publication in a LWW text or journal.

Award Application Deadline and Instructions

Completed applications and supporting documents for this award must be received by the VIER by November 10. No applications received after this date or incomplete applications will be considered.

 

Terms of the Award

  1. The award is available to nursing students registered in a nursing school with current membership in the CNSA.
  2. The applicant must be in good academic standing in their nursing program.
  3. The applicant must attend the CNSA National Conference to present the poster.
  4. The applicant will be responsible to pay for his/her travel and accommodation during the National Conference.
  5. The poster presentation must be a nursing-related topic that promotes evidence-based practice and knowledge synthesis.
  6. Members of the CNSA BOD may not apply for this award during their term of office.

 

Application Form

A completed application shall contain:

  1. Name of applicant
  2. Current address and telephone number of the applicant
  3. Permanent address and telephone number of the applicant (if different from current)
  4. Name of member school they attend
  5. A 250-500 word description of the topic and matter that will be presented
  6. One letter of reference
  7. Official transcript
  8. The following statement signed and dated "I [name] agree to the terms of the LWW Nursing Poster Presentation Award. I further believe all statements in my application to be truthful."
