CNSA Strategic Plan 2022-2026

What is a Strategic Plan?

A strategic plan is a roadmap that sets priorities, goals, and actions for an organization over a set period of time. It helps guide decision-making, measure progress, and keep the organization accountable to its mission.

CNSA Strategic Plan

The Canadian Nursing Students’ Association (CNSA) Strategic Plan is reviewed every year and fully updated every 5 years. It sets the direction for our association, provides recommendations for action, and ensures that our work reflects the realities of nursing students across Canada.

The plan provides a framework for advocacy and growth, focusing on issues such as:

  • Nursing student well-being and mental health

  • The nursing shortage, retention, and working conditions

  • Equity, diversity, and inclusion in nursing education and practice

  • Student leadership development and professional growth

The Strategic Planning Committee is made up of board members, chapter representatives, and nursing leaders — ensures the plan remains relevant and impactful.

It is our hope that this plan serves as a guide and starting point for CNSA and other professional organizations, promoting professional growth in the direction of equity and advocacy.
