Nursing Student’s Voices: 2nd Edition Submission Period Open

Your Voice. Your Story. Your Impact.

Every nurse’s story begins with a moment, a conversation, a question, a realization that something in our system could be better. Advocacy doesn’t always start with a protest or a policy; sometimes, it begins quietly, either in the classroom, during a late shift, or in a moment of compassion at the bedside. It begins when a student notices a gap, feels the weight of inequity, or sees how one small act of care can make a lasting difference.

It’s in those moments that reflection turns into resolve, the courage to imagine what could be and the drive to make it real. Nursing Student’s Voices exists to capture those sparks: the personal stories, lived experiences, and visions for change that remind us why we chose this profession in the first place.

That’s what Nursing Student’s Voices is all about.

The Canadian Nursing Students’ Association (CNSA) is excited to announce that the submission period for the 2nd Edition of Nursing Student’s Voices is now open! This initiative invites nursing students across Canada to reflect on advocacy, leadership, and the lessons that shaped their desire to create change in healthcare.

This edition’s theme:

Nursing advocacy is not only about reacting — it’s about reimagining what could be.

If you could change one policy, practice, or mindset within nursing or healthcare, what would it be — and why does that change matter to you personally?

Think about the experiences, mentors, or values that inspired you to use your voice for others. Your reflection might remind someone that even small acts of advocacy can spark meaningful transformation.
