Diversability Caucus Chair - Sophia Zhao

Hi! My name is Sophia Zhao!I’m a bilingual nursing student at the University of Ottawa with a strong commitment to community service and cross-cultural engagement. Fluent in French, English, Spanish, and Mandarin, I bring a global perspective to my clinical and volunteer experiences. I’m currently working as a clinical extern for The Ottawa Hospital and have participated in humanitarian work in the Dominican Republic. I currently serve as President of the Nursing Students’ Association at the university and have held and am currently holding various leadership roles in student and athletic clubs. My goal is to contribute meaningfully to healthcare of both patients and nursing students while continuing to learn from diverse communities.
